Okay, now this sounds not so great of idea due to all the complications that go with it. But. Since I know people always want literature suggestions, but it just never comes around to actually exchanging of books, or you aren't familiar enough with a person to ask...
WELL
I thought, maybe we could create a little library exclusive (or not, but I thought it'd simplify things) to CWC! People could bring in their books to share, and maybe they can be stored on special shelf in Ms Lawrence's room. Then people can have access to books that are recommended by students for students (I know most LA teachers have suggested books to read, but being one person, sometimes it's limited. And then sometimes it's full of Gary Paulsen books.)
Of course, we'd have to create some kind of effective system so that books aren't lost/abused/etc. OH MAN. And then we could like, have a notebook of the list of books and then people can write reviews! Yeah!
Well, anyway. I just love books, but I feel like I'm running out of them. That's no good. So.. yeah. okay.

You'll have to mention this at the next meeting! It sounds like a cool idea.

I think that could definitely work. I have a few books at home that I could bring in from a creative writing class that I took in college that might be of interest to you all. Feel free to bring in books before or after school to my room and I'll set them aside for the club. Great writing is usually stimulated by lots of reading!

I've been planning to go through my insanely full bookshelves lately! I'll definitely try to remember to bring some books to the next meeting. I have some I'd love to share.

You know what I think might be safer? Having an online catalog of everyone's books. Anyone can browse through the books, message the owner of a book they might want to borrow asking for the book. They exchange these books during school (or where ever). They can have a set amount of time to return them and, if not returned in set time, a fine must be paid that increases weekily. Mia could be encharge of the distribution of these books, overseeing everything. If there's a problem and, if Mia is willing to take up the job, Mia will be there to answer.
I think this would be awesome, whatever plan we come up with. : ]

I AGREE. All the books I have are young adult, and I really need to read some recent fiction.

I can't believe you forgot about the meeting. I hate you.
Yeah, I'm all for this. We can catagorize it by teen, adult, non-fiction (I would be dominating that catagory!-american history for the win!), etc. It would be really cool!
